Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** The PLC Controls Technician, working within the Maintenance Department, is responsible for the industrial maintenance execution in the primary discipline of instrumentation, PLC, controls & electrical distribution. This position will require flexibility both with performing troubleshooting and design tasks on PLCs, HMIs, and automated systems primarily on the manufacturing floor as well as performing electrical distribution and mechanical system maintenance as required based on personnel availability and operational need. **Responsibilities** + Perform troubleshooting and design tasks on PLCs, HMIs, and automated systems primarily on the manufacturing floor. + Execute electrical distribution and mechanical system maintenance as required. + Utilize knowledge of personal/process control computers, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and Networking devices. + Apply expertise in process controls, remote operations, and SCADA systems. + Understand and comprehend complex engineering drawings, implement designs as intended, and make recommendations when applicable. + Program PLC’s/HMI’s, robots, and electrical devices. + Utilize 480V 3 phase knowledge. + Perform electrical troubleshooting and maintenance. + Maintain excellent organizational and project skills to manage multiple ongoing projects. + Follow all company policies, including general manufacturing and safety practices. + Perform any other duties as instructed by management. **Essential Skills** + 5-10+ years’ overall work experience in a production manufacturing environment. + Minimum of 4-6 years’ experience in electrical maintenance including troubleshooting, repair, and PM. + Knowledge of personal/process control computers, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and Networking devices. + Experience with process controls, remote operations, and SCADA systems. + Proficiency in understanding and comprehending complex engineering drawings. + Experience and knowledge of programming PLC’s/HMI’s, robots, and electrical devices. + 480V 3 phase knowledge. + Excellent troubleshooting skills. + Understanding of circuits, VFD’s, Low Voltage control wiring, motors, panels, etc. + Ability to follow all company policies including general manufacturing and safety practices. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with Computerized Maintenance Systems (CMMS). + AutoCad experience is a plus. + Excellent organizational and project management skills. + Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or 5-7 years of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of experience and education. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic team where your skills and expertise will be valued.
