Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** Summary: The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in Protective Coatings facilities. **Responsibilities** + Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment to detect malfunctions. + Discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems. + Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts. + Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery. + Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment. + Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. + Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment. + Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment. + Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools. + Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts. + Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures. + Wear and maintain proper personal protective equipment. + Clean, organize, and maintain work area as prescribed by supervision and 5S standards. + Perform hazardous waste duties, including transferring blast media to bulk storage, changing out filters, and proper storage and disposal of universal waste. **Essential Skills** + Troubleshooting + Maintenance technician experience + Electrical and mechanical repair skills + Blueprint reading + PLC troubleshooting + Hydraulics + Schematic reading + Mechanical experience with troubleshooting tanks, heaters, and pumps + Some electrical experience + Personable and effective communication skills + Some plumbing experience + Reliability and great attendance **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Must be flexible to train on day shift for 1-2 months + Industrial maintenance repair experience + Experience in plumbing and chemical handling **Why Work Here?** With more than 120 operations and approximately 20,000 employees worldwide, we are the market leader in manufacturing large, complex structural investment castings, airfoil castings, forged components, aerostructures, and highly engineered, critical fasteners for aerospace applications. **Work Environment** Protective Coatings is an operating company of PCC, a finishing house for aerospace parts. The team consists of three maintenance technicians, one on each shift. The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, wet and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, and low-level electrical shock.
