Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technicians to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks, ranging from troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment to assisting with electrical duties under supervision. Candidates will also be responsible for following lubrication schedules, making minor and major repairs, and ensuring all duties are executed with minimal supervision. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with growth potential. **Responsibilities** + Expedite tools and material to and from the site. + Detect and locate faults in equipment and facilities. + Make minor and assist in making major repairs. + Follow lubrication schedules. + Disassemble, reassemble, and replace worn and broken parts on mechanical equipment. + Install new equipment as needed. + Perform all electrical duties under direct supervision of a qualified Maintenance Journeyman or higher. + Rebuild equipment, gears, and general repairs. + Troubleshoot all equipment. + Work with wiring diagrams of single and three-phase motors. + Possess a working knowledge of starting equipment, relays, and wiring. + Experience with sheet metal fabrication, including welding, filing, and machining. + Work with refrigeration, ammonia, and freezers. + Read and work from prints, take field measurements, and create readable sketches or diagrams. + Meet established KPIs. + Accurately complete all maintenance documentation, work orders, and paperwork. + Identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities, using effective approaches to develop solutions. + Apply technical skills and perform complex tasks in areas of expertise. + Train other maintenance technicians and production staff. + Perform all other assigned duties. + Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical skills: rebuilding equipment, general repairs, troubleshooting. + Electrical skills: working with wiring diagrams, starting equipment, relays, and wiring. + Fabrication skills: sheet metal fabrication, welding, filing, machining. + Experience with refrigeration, ammonia, and freezers. + Ability to work from prints and take field measurements. + Strong documentation skills. + Problem-solving abilities. + Training and leadership skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Maintenance III: Entry-level candidates with mechanical inclination or Auto/Diesel Tech experience. + Maintenance II: 1-2 years of experience or an associate degree from a technical school in maintenance. + Maintenance I: 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in food manufacturing. + Lead Maintenance/Maintenance Journeyman: Holds a journeyman card. + Lead Journeyman Maintenance: Journeyman card, PLC control, 3-phase maintenance repair. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy the benefits of working in a union environment with the ability to move shifts based on seniority.
