Job Description
Maintenance Technicians perform a variety of activities to maintain plant equipment and facilities in optimum operating condition. These activities include scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency/breakdown repairs.
ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, repositioning components, and observing operations, vibrations, and noise levels.Perform emergency/breakdown maintenance as necessary to support plant operations.Reference equipment manuals and other technical literature.Contact and work with vendors and subcontractors to achieve desired results.Accurately use measurement and test equipment.Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other repairs and installations as needed.Safely operate the boiler, maintaining adequate operating steam pressure (> 180 PSI).Maintain clean and organized work areas, and clean up work areas as part of completing assigned tasks.Accurately and completely prepare and maintain maintenance records and other paperwork.Troubleshoot and solve problems.Maintain teamwork with other associates.Keep supervision informed of problems and/or unusual situations.Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.Essential Skills5+ years of experience in maintenance technician roles.Electrical experience - swapping motors and troubleshooting.Experience working with Frequency Drives (VFDs).PLC - looking up logic/troubleshooting.Proficiency in reading electrical schematics/blueprints (including German Prints).Experience working with 480-volt systems.Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Steam System experience (Boilers).Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to perform the duties/responsibilities of the job with or without accommodation.Ability to read, write, and speak English.Ability to accurately use and read a variety of measuring devices.Well-rounded electrical, mechanical, and machine shop skills and experience.Ability to learn and follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The facility is non-climate controlled, meaning it can be hot/warm in the spring and summer months and cool in the fall and winter months. The plant has a single corrugated machine/line, which is very large and may have old or incomplete schematics. The maintenance team consists of 8 technicians who work in pairs, typically teaming a mechanically strong technician with an electrically strong technician. The work can be dirty at times, so candidates should be prepared for that. The position follows a 2-2-3 schedule on 3rd shift (6:00pm - 6:00am).

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.62 - $31.62
