Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks in commercial office spaces. You will be responsible for painting, patching, drywall work, changing HVAC VAV boxes and filters, and performing emergency and preventive maintenance. This role requires a proactive individual who can estimate time and materials for repairs, complete work orders, and maintain accurate repair records.

ResponsibilitiesPerform assigned repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance tasks.Complete maintenance and repair records as required.Review and manage assigned work orders.Estimate time and materials needed to complete repairs.Order necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks.Conduct painting, patching, and drywall work.Change HVAC VAV boxes and filters.Ensure proper maintenance of building systems including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, electrical, and boilers.Essential SkillsExperience with building maintenance.Proficiency in HVAC maintenance.Knowledge of lighting, plumbing, and electrical systems.Painting and carpentry skills.Ability to troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance.Commercial building experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsGeneral maintenance knowledge.Experience with facilities maintenance and repair.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This position is based in commercial office spaces within co-op workspaces. You will have an alternating morning schedule between two locations. The role is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Necessary tools are provided, but parking is not included. Locations include 1701 Rhode Island Avenue Northwest, Washington, DC on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and Midtown Center NW, Washington, DC on Tuesday and Thursday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, District of Columbia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00
