Maintenance Technician
Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Shift: 2nd shift Monday through Friday 2:00pm-10:00pm

Pay rate: $28/hour ($1.50 shift differential not included)

Maintenance Technicians are responsible for timely repairs to equipment to ensure production can run with little or no interruption. Additionally, they are responsible for repairs to the facility as directed. The maintenance department will also spend a significant amount of time fabricating and building new machinery for projects in the plant. This includes welding (mostly TIG stainless), electrical panel building, mechanical building, and installation of motors and drives.

ResponsibilitiesHandle necessary electrical installations, fabrications, and repairs, as well as mechanical repairs within the plant and on equipment.Account for materials and parts used on the job by logging them into the inventory usage logbook.Become familiar with all plant equipment.Be available for overtime and weekend work, as needed.Attend outside training if required.Follow company and government policies and procedures within the scope of job responsibilities, including GMP’s, food safety, equipment and area sanitation, food security, and plant security.Adhere to common safety practices, including the wearing of protective equipment and clothing as required.Perform other assignments as assigned by the Production Manager or Operations Manager.Essential Skills3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.Electrical troubleshooting and repair, including PLC and servo motors.Mechanical troubleshooting and repair.Welding - TIG stainless.Machining and fabrication.Panel wiring and building.Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and use precision measuring tools.Must have own set of mechanic tools (ratchets, sockets, wrenches, screwdrivers, hammer, channel locks, pliers, etc.).Additional Skills & QualificationsPLC troubleshooting.Hydraulics and pneumatics.Experience with motors and fabrication.Why Work Here?
