**Job Title: Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on a variety of food production plant equipment. This includes working with case packers, processing machines, blenders, grinders, scales, conveyors, motors, and gearboxes. Your role will involve working in both the canning and packaging departments, and you will be expected to handle machinery such as casers, sifters, dumbers, and boilers. You will also be required to test voltages, wire motors, use a multimeter, and perform minor welding and fabrication as needed. Basic facilities maintenance tasks, such as plumbing and fixing lighting, will also be part of your duties.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform preventative maintenance on food production plant equipment.
+ Repair and troubleshoot equipment including case packers, processing machines, blenders, grinders, scales, conveyors, motors, and gearboxes.
+ Work in both canning and packaging departments.
+ Handle machinery such as casers, sifters, dumbers, and boilers.
+ Test voltages, wire motors, and use a multimeter.
+ Perform minor welding and fabrication as needed.
+ Conduct basic facilities maintenance tasks such as plumbing and fixing lighting.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1 year of industrial maintenance experience maintaining food production equipment.
+ Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
+ Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
+ Experience with preventive maintenance.
+ Ability to repair motors.
+ Willingness to perform minimal electrical tasks.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Vocational training or schooling in a related field.
+ Experience in a demanding field such as farming is beneficial.
+ Mechanical skills are highly valued.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00

-Very stable and growing company - Hormel is a staple. No lay offs
-OT available (working 6 or 7 days a week usually)
-They provide steel toes and safety glasses
-Will cover your tuition and your kids tuition to a trades school or 2 year community college
-Pay is $32.35 for Mechanics. Can work your way up to a Tech and to a Electrical Tech and get up to $35/hr with their onsite training
