**Job Description** The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of production equipment and systems within a 24/7 milk processing plant that produces cheese and whey products. This position requires knowledge of mechanical and electrical industrial equipment and machinery. Experience in fabrication/stainless TIG welding is also a plus. **Responsibilities** + Repair and maintain production equipment and systems. + Troubleshoot and service mechanical and electrical industrial equipment. + Perform preventative and predictive maintenance programs and schedules. + Follow safety protocols and good manufacturing practices. + Work with conveyors, robotics, packaging equipment, boiler and ammonia systems, motors, gearboxes, bearings, drives, pneumatic valves, PLC/VFD, sensors and proximity switches. + Assist with the upgrade of facility equipment, including automation/instrumentation and a new SCADA system. + Perform stainless TIG welding as needed. **Essential Skills** + Basic understanding of industrial maintenance equipment and machinery. + Knowledge of safety protocols and good manufacturing practices. + Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance programs. + Familiarity with industrial electricity. + Ability to work with conveyors, robotics, packaging equipment, boiler and ammonia systems, motors, gearboxes, bearings, drives, pneumatic valves, PLC/VFD, sensors and proximity switches. + Skills in maintenance repair, hydraulics, pneumatics, 3-phase electrical systems, mechanical repair, electrical troubleshooting, and welding. + 2-4 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a food/beverage manufacturing environment. + 1+ years of welding experience. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in fabrication/stainless TIG welding. + Knowledge of schematic reading and PLC troubleshooting. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic and growing team in a facility that is being upgraded to include more automation and a new SCADA system. The environment can be loud at times and possibly wet in some areas due to milk processing. Currently, there are five technicians on the maintenance team, and management aims to expand to nine technicians across three shifts. Shifts include Day (6 AM-2:30 PM), Swing (2 PM-10:30 PM, days off Tue/Wed or Wed/Thurs), and Grave (10 PM-6:30 AM, days off Tue/Wed or Thurs/Fri). Overtime is likely needed, primarily at the start of the shift, with up to four hours per shift and 8-12 hours of OT per week. Training will be provided during the day shift for the first 2-3 weeks before transitioning to the designated shift. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $80000.00 full time hire - DP - great company in the newman, ca with good benefits 401k, medical.
