Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in keeping our equipment operating safely, efficiently, and on time to meet production demands. You will serve as the technical expert on all machines within our production facility, perform work orders, and carry out preventive maintenance as assigned. Your role will involve making recommendations for PM adjustments, assisting in the development of training protocols for new employees, and responding to emergency calls to make immediate repairs. You will follow lockout/tagout procedures, conduct routine inspections, maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop, and manage parts inventory in the CMMS program. Safety and effective communication with management are paramount. **Responsibilities** + Keep the equipment operating safely, efficiently, and on time to meet production demands. + Serve as the technical expert on all machines in the production facility. + Perform work orders and preventive maintenance as assigned. + Make recommendations for PM adjustments and/or PM additions to equipment. + Assist with developing appropriate training protocols for new employees. + Respond to emergency calls and make immediate repairs whenever needed. + Follow lockout/tagout procedures where appropriate. + Conduct routine inspections of machines and parts. + Keep the maintenance shop clean and organized. + Order parts used, keep the parts in inventory, and update the database in the CMMS program as needed. + Work safely and bring issues to the attention of management. **Essential Skills** + Equipment maintenance + Electrical + Pneumatic + Mechanical + Hydraulic + Troubleshooting + Control panel repairs + Preventive maintenance + Maintenance repair + Electrical troubleshooting + 3-phase electrical systems + Conveyor systems **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting certification + Trade school training in related field, a plus + 5 years of relevant production maintenance experience, required + Experience working with 120V AC to 480 AC 3Ph; motors, pumps, gears, gearboxes, press machines, stamping machines, direct drives, chain drives, belt drives, conveyor cams, compressors, hydraulics, agitators, and screens, required + Knowledge of solid-state controllers, VFDs, and electrical troubleshooting, a plus + Experience reading blueprints and schematics, required + Experience using basic testing devices such as ammeters, voltage meters, and pneumatic testing tools, required **Why Work Here?** Join our team and be part of a dynamic and challenging work environment where your skills and expertise will be valued. The environment can be very hot due to ovens running 24/7, and there is a strong smell of baked goods. The work schedule is Sunday through Friday with hours from 1 pm to 10 pm or 9 pm to 5 am. Overtime on weekends will be required as needed. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Escondido, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
