Maintenance Technician **Express Employment Professionals** 1 Positions ID: 13937670 Posted On 12/31/2024 **Job Overview** Express Employment in Platteville has partnered with a local business in _Shullsburg, WI_ to search for a candidate to support their business in a **Maintenance Technician** role. This is a full-time position. **Responsibilities:** The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall maintenance and operational manufacturing tasks, performing typical and routine tasks to support the production, distribution and packaging departments. While this person is required to perform basic welding, electrical, fabricating, and mechanical duties, they must also be able to make decisions on recommendation to contact and schedule vendors and contractors for necessary building repairs and emergencies that are outside the scope of routine maintenance. The Maintenance Technician is also responsible for implementing the preventative maintenance program with the assistance of the Maintenance Supervisor. This person is responsible for taking care of work instructions and/or any unexpected maintenance that may occur during the day. All maintenance is conducted while maintaining food safety and quality. •Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. •When necessary, works with line leads in teaching or training routine maintenance functions. •Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. •Performs routine maintenance on building interior and exterior: painting, minor construction, basic electrical, etc. •Maintains a schedule of when maintenance has been performed and when the next service is due. •Works in a safe manner and recognizes unsafe situations. Takes appropriate action to ensure safety of themselves and others in the building. •Other duties as assigned. **Qualifications:** Prior maintenance experience and skills, along with hands on experience with machine breakdowns and troubleshooting problems.
