Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** Job Summary: Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, hydraulic systems, pneumatic tools, electric components, electronic systems and sensors, conveyor systems, typically utilized on production machines and equipment. You will specifically be working with press brakes, turrets, lasers, panel benders, and other metal fabrication machines. **Responsibilities** + Observe production systems and equipment utilized in operation, diagnose malfunctions, and make appropriate repairs. + Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts. + Make approved modifications to machinery and equipment to meet production needs. + Repair or replace defective parts and clean parts. + Start devices to test their performance and make necessary adjustments. + Discuss and coordinate repairs with peers based on issues and skillsets to ensure optimal production schedules are maintained. + Modify work schedule as necessary to make repairs and maintain critical equipment. + Effectively communicate and coordinate with factory service providers to ensure equipment is properly maintained and repaired efficiently, maximizing equipment green light time. + Install new equipment as necessary and move existing equipment based on business needs. + Set up and operate drill press, grinder, welder, and other metalworking tools to fabricate and repair parts. + Effectively install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, PLC, and hydraulic issues on production equipment, conveyor systems, and facilities-related equipment within the plant. + Keep accurate maintenance and preventative maintenance records and ensure that all revisions to equipment and tools are properly recorded. + Determine equipment/parts needed for repair and work with the Supply Chain department to purchase. + Utilize the CMMS module in the ERP system. + Keep shop and work area neat and orderly. + Solve a variety of practical problems by using past experience and logic. + Make general repairs to building and grounds. + Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. + Appropriately respond to chemical spill incidents involving both hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals to prevent a negative impact on employee health and safety as well as the environment, including containment, cleanup, and disposal of spills. Maintenance Technicians are part of the designated Spill Response Team. + Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. **Essential Skills** + Troubleshooting on manufacturing machines + Understanding of how jobs flow through a production environment + Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems + Experience with machine maintenance, especially press brakes and turrets **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with metal fabrication machines such as press brakes, turrets, lasers, and panel benders + Ability to work with drill presses, grinders, welders, and other metalworking tools + Proficiency in maintaining and troubleshooting PLC systems + Strong communication skills to coordinate repairs and maintenance with peers and service providers **Why Work Here?** Join a team that values efficiency and precision in maintaining production equipment. The position requires frequent lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds and the ability to respond to chemical spill incidents. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Bloomington, Minnesota. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $75000.00 Dalsin offers health benefits, a wellness program, 401k match, profit sharing and a bonus program. Dalsin matches 3% when the employee contributes 6%.
