Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for all mechanical maintenance, minor electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for the facility. This role also involves assisting in both small and large project work as requested.
ResponsibilitiesPerform the required preventative maintenance activities listed in the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software to maintain corporate assets and prevent unexpected breakdowns.Perform required repairs to equipment upon an unexpected breakdown in the timeliest manner.Install parts, modify, rebuild, or construct new equipment per instruction of the maintenance supervisor or as requested in the CMMS.Review, complete, and update entries in the CMMS.Assist engineers in capital project work as requested.Perform a daily inspection of the equipment to prevent unexpected failures.Order and maintain supplies and spare parts for assigned equipment.Keep the maintenance area clean and organized and tools in good working order.Maintain Forklift license as issued by the company.Perform other duties as assigned by the department supervisor.Essential SkillsMechanical troubleshootingElectrical troubleshootingPneumaticsRepairTroubleshootingHydraulicsAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with machinery and repair requiredKnowledge of precision measuring equipment requiredMust be able to wear personal protective equipment including safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and additional PPE as requiredCorrectable eyesight requiredComfortable working around moving equipmentMust be able to climb ladders and stairsFrequent bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, forward-reaching, above shoulder reaching, and twistingOccasional kneeling, crawling, and balancingRequired to work in confined spaces occasionallyAble to stand for an extended period of timeDexterity manipulation required for use of hand tools and light equipmentMust be able to push/pull material using hand cart or pallet jackFrequent lifting up to 30 lbs, occasional lifting up to 60 lbs, infrequent lifting up to 75 lbsModerate exposure to temperature change in a non-climate-controlled environment with the potential of working near heated processes
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00
