**Job Title: Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
Manage start-up to ensure equipment is in proper operating condition. Perform demand maintenance as assigned, demonstrating skill in diagnosing equipment defects and making necessary repairs. Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot machinery, ovens, mechanical lift trucks, and facilities to address production issues and improve efficiency. Safely operate various machines including a Band Saw, Break Press, Mill, Lathe, and others. Inspect machines and equipment to ensure conformance with operational standards. Maintain all areas of the shop, boiler room, and the interior/exterior of the plant. Troubleshoot electrical functions including motors, controls, PLC function, and other basic wiring. Collaborate with management and suppliers to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and equipment conditions. Complete Preventative Maintenance tasks as assigned. Assist with inventory control of tools and parts. Work with tools and power equipment, as well as material handling. Operate mechanical forklift, pallet jack, battery-changer, and stock picker. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) training, and company prerequisite programs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs). Perform other duties and responsibilities as necessary.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is a plant/office setting with varying degrees of temperatures and noise levels. Exposure to manufacturing equipment movement and wet/slippery floors is expected. Travel may be required. The environment includes cold temperatures (30-40 degrees) and the smell of meat and sausage.

This is a Permanent position based out of Mankato, Minnesota.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $46800.00 - $70200.00
