Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Our Client manufactures various auto batteries. The battery casing is received from the Florence, KY plant, and the Fort Wayne plant then \"energizes\" the battery by filling it with acid. The battery is charged at charging tables, goes through a quality check, and then moves to the labeling line before being sent directly to the customer. The Maintenance Technician will ensure that production machinery is maintained in a safe operating condition, meeting uptime requirements to assure uninterrupted production.

$600 a year tool allowance ($300 paid twice), $150 boot allowance, and 2 free car batteries a year.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.80 - $33.70
