Responsibilities Perform a wide variety of tasks associated with maintaining production molding and assembly machinery and auxiliary equipment.Install, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on all operating equipment, fixed equipment, and support equipment as assigned.Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and/or program issues with Molding and AMO machines, and all support equipment.Perform appropriate maintenance and/or repairs on HVAC equipment (certification required).Install machines' electrical, plumbing, and interface with all other systems.Read electrical and hydraulic prints to perform required maintenance and service.Diagnose issues, provide solutions, and suggest ways to improve machines.Understand PLC and RS Logic to test equipment and/or make adjustments.Perform daily preventive maintenance and maintain proper paperwork.Comply with safety regulations and established lean manufacturing principles.Work with other mechanics, engineering, and manufacturing to ensure continuous operations.Provide general facilities maintenance.Perform other duties as assigned.Follow applicable Food Safety and cGMP policies.Essential SkillsAdvanced technical training or applied experience with hydraulics, industrial electricity, electronics, and control systems.MIG & TIG welding skills.Fabricating skills.Excellent print reading (schematics) capabilities.Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and welding.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Effective written and oral communication skills.Ability to work with limited supervision.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) with 1-2 years of experience working in maintenance for a manufacturing company.Manual machining and plastics injection molding experience.Blueprint reading and schematic interpretation.Injection molding machine setup and operation.Pneumatics and electrical troubleshooting.Industrial and electrical maintenance.PLC troubleshooting.Why Work Here?

The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, high places, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level is usually loud. Physical demands include standing, walking, using hands to handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, sitting, lifting/moving up to 50 pounds, and specific vision abilities such as close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
