Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description

This position is for a Maintenance Technician in a high-speed manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all production equipment. The role involves working with production lines where the product is extruded, chemically treated, heated, and then cut to specifications before being stacked and palletized by robotic arms. You will receive work orders daily and respond to tasks via radio.

ResponsibilitiesRepair and maintain electrical systems for all production equipment.Modify new and existing equipment for performance improvements and upgrades.Work with 110, 220, and 440 volt systems, AC/DC Drives, high and low voltage controls.Troubleshoot electrical problems to the component level.Monitor gauges and pressures from the chemical process to ensure accurate flow.Fix conveyors, rollers, and other mechanical parts.Work with pneumatics and some hydraulics.Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repairs, including gear replacements/adjustments.Use blueprints and electrical schematics daily.Replace and repair various motors including AC/DC and single/three-phase motors.Perform preventive maintenance on all machines and equipment.Conduct full tear-downs and rebuilds.Troubleshoot PLCs.Essential SkillsStrong electrical and mechanical skills.Ability to read schematics.Experience with troubleshooting electrical issues up to 480V.Experience with PLC troubleshooting (Allen Bradley).Familiarity with pneumatics and hydraulics.Experience with pumps and blenders.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma; Technical School or higher education preferred.5+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.Consistent work history.Relevant certifications.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The position is based in a manufacturing/warehouse environment with over 75 employees. The facility includes several production lines with various machines, and forklift operations are common. The environment is open-door, with trucks frequently loading and unloading products. Temperatures can be hot in summer and cold in winter. The job involves exposure to ambient temperatures, dust, chemicals, pinch points on moving mechanical parts, and heavy equipment operation. The team environment is supportive, with good communication and cooperation to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.

This is a Permanent position based out of FRANKLIN PARK, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00
