Maintenance Technician
TITLE:
Maintenance Technician – permanent 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:30pm Mon-Fri) or a permanent 3rd shift (11:00pm – 7:30am Sun-Thur). Due to business needs this could change to a rotating schedule across the 3 shifts.

Quick learner – Must be willing to learn new skills such as how to safely and effectively maintain the production equipmentResponsible – Consistent on-time attendance record, comfortable assessing situations and making recommendations after reviewing related informationMath skills – Fluent in basic and applied math skills such as measuring materials and equipment settings for machine adjustments and set-upProblem solving skills – Able to logically approach a situation and determine the root cause and likely solutionsTeam player – Able to work with other crewmembers and staff to maximize everyone’s skills to progress the team’s overall goalsCommunication skills – Need to be able to verbalize ideas to work effectively with other crew members and staff.  Proficient written and reading skills to document daily operational resultsUnderstand operation of all equipment in facilityOwnership in obtaining quotes and ordering parts for production equipmentEnsure all quality related aspects of the product are maintainedMaintain a safe, healthy productive work environmentPerform preventative maintenance activitiesTroubleshoot and repair all production related equipmentTroubleshoot electrical systems, control circuits and PLC componentsRecommend improved methods / cost saving measuresTrain, develop and assist production personnelOperate a forklift truckBecome certified in electric systems, lockout/tag out and weldingSafely operate all shop equipment and power toolsBasic knowledge of machinery, welding and fabricationWilling to clean work areas and equipmentExcellent communication and organizational skills3 – 5 years’ experience in manufacturing equipment repairAbility to work a specific shift rotation that could include 1st, 2nd or 3rd
