Maintenance Technician
What We Need: + High school diploma or equivalent + Minimum 2 years of mechanical, electrical, or facility related maintenance experience. + Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs + Must be able to push/pull 150 lbs + Must be able to climb 23 inches and 20 ladder rungs; frequent standing and walking + Able to work overtime on an as needed basis along with working Saturday on a rotating schedule.Experience using AutoCAD and Solidworks + Exhibit strong desire to learn new skills, technical & soft, to advance along maintenance career progression. Continuing education is an expectation throughout career in Maintenance. + Self starter who can work in an environment that is self directed and customer/team focused. + Ability to travel domestically up to 10%. What You'll Be Doing: + Demonstrate safe & effective set up & use of department machine tools to perform standard tasks (Lamination Press, Hotstamp Press, screen printing system, panel saw, engraving machines, etc..) + Perform various facility maintenance tasks including but not limited to general plumbing, carpentry and masonry, office lighting, painting, and HVAC, compressor, generator repairs + Fabricate basic parts as needed for machine repair. + Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate effective departmental communication. + Use of precision measuring instruments such as a caliper or micrometer + Perform mechanical or electrical preventive maintenance tasks to preserve production and facility support equipment + Fabricate simple guards & other structures. + Capable of pipe fitting techniques for copper, PVC, & iron pipe. + Demonstrate understanding of principles & symbols related to hydraulic & pneumatic circuits & components to sustain equipment. + Perform spray painting operations including proper preparation, application, & proper handling of chemicals & waste. + Work with professional trade contractors and outside vendors to solve machine and facility related breakdowns or improvements + Use arc, gas, & wire welding techniques to fabricate & repair equipment. + Use plasma cutter & braze and solder. + Use a computer to perform computerized maintenance management functions including query equipment histories & author breakdown documents. + Demonstrates effective use of root cause analysis and documents findings in the CMMS system. + Successfully manage multiple assignments through effective prioritization & time management. + Perform more complex shop math including calculating areas of various shapes for determining angles, etc. + Perform other duties as assigned. What You Will Need To Be Successful: The Maintenance Technician will handle maintenance & repair of parts, equipment, and facility related assets. This individual assists experienced team members with the diagnosis, installation, & repair of more complex issues & systems. The Maintenance Technician is expected to follow all safety rules, communicate both written and orally, and document work activities accurately.
