Maintenance Technician

**Job Description**
Looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician.
+ **Knowledge of heating systems, refrigeration, basic electricity, and mechanics.**
+ **Able to read electrical schematics, reset breakers, test fuses, install & alight a pump, and understand basic rigging.**
+ Perform preventative maintenance and repairs of production and processing equipment as well as utility related equipment in compliance with all safety procedures
+ Support the installation of new equipment, support and implementation of preventive maintenance program
+ Assist the machine operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime
+ Ensure all repairs are documented
+ Keep management informed of any maintenance issues
+ Complete work orders as assigned
+ Dedicate effort to safety as we expect every employee to leave work in the same condition as they arrive
+ Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
+ Exhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgment
+ Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity
+ Attend required training, including but not limited to Safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF)
+ Work schedule includes on call and weekend shifts
**Requirements**
Education and Experience:
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ General mechanical and maintenance knowledge - must be able to pass appropriate maintenance testing
+ 4 years of process manufacturing environment maintenance work experience required.
+ Certification and/or License -- 2 year formal mechanical and/ or electrical education certificate preferred
**Pay Range** $31.00/ hour
