**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated first shift Maintenance Technician to join our team in Davenport. Our company is a leading manufacturer of bread slicing equipment, including blades, lattice, blade guides, and honing equipment. As a Maintenance Technician, you will ensure the smooth operation of our production machinery and equipment, contributing to our reputation as the world's leader in bread slicing.
**Responsibilities**
+ Subscribe to and adhere to all safe work practices, including observing all lock out/tag out procedures, clear lines of communication to all fellow maintenance and operating personnel, and utilization of proper personal protective equipment and procedures.
+ Troubleshoot machines and equipment that have mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and control parts, including PLC components and logic, relays, etc.
+ Complete minor and major repairs, preventative maintenance, and major overhauls on all equipment.
+ Repair machines efficiently and correctly to minimize production downtime.
+ Prioritize and balance a dynamic daily workload of breakdown maintenance, process issues, and PM tasks.
+ Move and install old and new equipment, disconnect and reconnect services to machines.
+ Maintain plant support equipment, such as overhead ventilation fans, air compressors, and coolant supply and filtration systems.
+ Perform miscellaneous repairs to the facility, such as plumbing, lighting, and ventilation.
+ Operate manual machine shop equipment and tools, and use welding equipment for maintenance repairs.
+ Identify parts needed to conduct maintenance and submit parts order forms.
+ Accurately scan out inventory parts used to perform maintenance.
+ Identify parts in inventory with low physical counts or out of stock and notify supervisor and purchasing agent.
**Essential Skills**
+ Troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical & control parts, including PLC components.
+ Blueprint and schematic reading.
+ Knowledge of pneumatics, electrical PLC, hydraulics, and preventive maintenance.
+ Ability to work independently in a team environment with a high degree of patience and attention to detail.
+ Mechanically inclined and capable of solving problems independently.
+ Able to do work that requires concentration and physical effort.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Own and maintain a complete set of basic tools.
+ Self-starter with strong communication skills.
+ Ability to prioritize breakdowns and maintenance tasks.

**Work Environment**
Our facility includes well-lit, large warehouse spaces with multiple departments. Employees are allowed to wear shorts and t-shirts, and we emphasize keeping workstations clean at all times.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
