Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** We are one of the largest manufacturers of bread slicing equipment in the world, producing not only blades but also lattice, blade guides, and honing equipment for bread slicers. We are seeking a dedicated first shift Maintenance Technician to join our team in Davenport. **Responsibilities** + Subscribe to and adhere to all safe work practices, including observing all lock out/tag out procedures, clear lines of communication with all fellow maintenance and operating personnel, and utilization of proper personal protective equipment and procedures. + Troubleshoot machines and equipment that have mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical & control parts including PLC components and logic, relays, etc. + Complete minor and major repairs, preventative maintenance, and major overhauls on all equipment. + Repair machines efficiently and correctly to minimize production downtime. + Prioritize and balance a dynamic daily workload of breakdown maintenance, process issues, and PM tasks. + Move and install old and new equipment, disconnect and reconnect services to machines. + Maintain plant support equipment such as overhead ventilation fans, air compressors, and coolant supply and filtration systems. + Perform miscellaneous repairs to the facility, such as plumbing, lighting, and ventilation. + Operate manual machine shop equipment and tools and use welding equipment for maintenance repairs. + Identify parts needed to conduct maintenance and submit parts order forms. + Accurately scan out inventory parts used to perform maintenance. + Identify parts in inventory with low physical counts or out of stock and notify the supervisor and purchasing agent. **Essential Skills** + Troubleshooting + Electrical + Mechanical + Blueprint and Schematic Reading + Pneumatic and electrical PLC knowledge + Hydraulics + Pneumatics + Preventive maintenance + Blueprint + PLC troubleshooting + Schematic reading **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to work independently in a team environment with a high degree of patience and attention to detail. + Mechanically inclined and capable of solving problems independently. + Ability to perform work requiring concentration and physical effort. + Own and maintain a complete set of basic tools. + Effective self-starter with strong communication skills. + Ability to prioritize breakdowns with other team members. **Why Work Here?** We offer flexible first shift hours from 5am-3pm Monday through Thursday and second shift from 3pm-1am Monday through Thursday.
