**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians for a 30-day contract-to-hire position within the Steel Workers Union. This role offers a 15% buyout after the contract period. We have openings for both second and third shifts and need a total of 8 technicians. **Responsibilities** + Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and perform repairs in a timely manner. + Inspect machines and relay issues to the maintenance supervisor for scheduling repairs. + Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as instructed and complete work instruction sheets. + Respond to safety, production, and general plant maintenance issues and help resolve them. + Respond promptly to equipment calls, evaluate and make necessary repairs. + Wear proper PPE and ensure the area is safe of combustibles before use, keeping a fire extinguisher nearby. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical troubleshooting of bearings, hydraulics, and other mechanical components. + Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and 3-phase/480v systems. + Ability to read and interpret schematics. + Minimum of 2 years of industrial experience. **Why Work Here?** Join an industry leader within the Building and Construction markets, where you will be part of a team that manufactures high-quality aluminum extrusions for residential and commercial applications. Depending on your skill level assessed during the interview, you will be appointed to one of our facilities. The facility operates 7 days a week, with technicians averaging 48 hours per week. You will receive time and a half pay for Saturdays and double time for Sundays. The dress code requires appropriate PPE for safety. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Struthers, Ohio. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
