**Job Title: Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing both mechanical and electrical systems. You will work collaboratively with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure the reliability and efficiency of all equipment. Your role will also include diagnosing faults, performing preventive maintenance, and providing technical support to junior technicians.
**Responsibilities**
+ Install, maintain, and repair mechanical components such as gears, conveyors, bearings, and EOT Cranes.
+ Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, switches, control panels, and PLCs.
+ Perform preventive maintenance to ensure the reliability of mechanical and electrical systems.
+ Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams for the installation and modification of equipment.
+ Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
+ Diagnose and repair electrical faults and malfunctions in machinery.
+ Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
+ Create maintenance preventive maintenance schedules.
+ Work with hand and power tools to dismantle, assemble, and test machinery and equipment.
+ Adhere to safety protocols and regulations in both mechanical and electrical work.
+ Provide technical support and training to junior technicians and apprentices.
+ Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, compressors, and pumps.
+ Demonstrate good housekeeping practices to maintain a safe work area.
+ Operate and inspect material handling equipment such as overhead and mobile cranes, forklifts, EOT Cranes, aerial lifts, and pickup trucks.
+ Clearly communicate completed tasks through daily logs (verbal, written, or computerized).
+ Maintain vehicles, on/off-road equipment, production equipment, and machinery with minimal supervision.
+ Assemble, install, test, and maintain diesel/gas engines, hydraulic motors, hydraulic pumps, transmissions, and various other equipment.
+ Diagnose malfunctioning hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems using test equipment and hand tools.
+ Inspect equipment and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
+ Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
+ Use basic tools such as multi-meters, pipe benders, and hand tools.
+ Understand and exercise required safety precautions to complete the job.
+ Complete assigned tasks in a timely and professional manner.
+ Comply with OSHA safety and health rules.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in maintenance of processing equipment such as pumps, screw conveyors, belt conveyors, hydraulic systems, agitators, elevators, gear boxes, fans, pipe fittings, and valves.
+ Mechanical skills including working with automotive repairs, construction equipment, pickup trucks, forklifts, loaders, and other heavy equipment.
+ Ability to use hand and power tools for assembly and repair.
+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
+ Experience in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems including PLCs.
+ Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
+ Good housekeeping practices.
+ Clear communication skills for documenting tasks and providing training.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with welding.
+ Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, particularly with 3-phase systems.
+ Familiarity with OSHA safety and health regulations.

**Work Environment**
You will work in a large, outdoor concrete manufacturing facility with numerous buildings. The role involves plant maintenance and working with heavy equipment such as forklifts, travel lifts, mixer trucks, and vans.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, Florida.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
