Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring the efficient operation of equipment and plant buildings. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with other personnel. **Responsibilities** + Repair breakdowns as required with proper documentation. + Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment per work orders and maintenance records. + Receive and pass on information to personnel. + Complete equipment inspections to identify possible failures, safety violations, or areas needing cleaning. + Assist in training on procedures and equipment operation. + Perform lock out/tag out, confined space, and hot work permits as required. + Maintain general housekeeping by cleaning up tools and work areas. + Responsible for the repair and maintenance of equipment and plant buildings. + Understand the operation of the equipment to maintain and increase efficiency. + Engage in continual training and teaching in different trade skills and equipment sequences. + Utilize problem-solving, attention to detail, and time management skills to find the best repair solutions. + Communicate effectively with other company personnel. + Adhere to all safety procedures and attend training sessions to further knowledge. + Perform operator duties such as loading/unloading furnaces, sorting, or stacking parts as directed. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical + Electrical + Hydraulics + Pneumatics + Blueprint reading + Schematic understanding + 3-phase systems + Repair + Welding and fabrication + Troubleshooting **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Heat treat, foundry, automotive, or aerospace experience preferred but not required. + Ability to operate fork truck and aerial man lifts. + Hard-working and dependable. + Organized and detail-oriented. + Flexible and willing to adapt to various tasks. + Proficient in mechanical, electrical, welding and fabrication, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems. **Why Work Here?** Join a family-owned and operated company that values its employees and offers a supportive and collaborative work environment. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
