Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the functionality and reliability of production and facility equipment. The technician conducts routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs while adhering to safety standards and operational excellence. By proactively addressing equipment needs and troubleshooting issues, the Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in minimizing downtime and maintaining high production efficiency. **Responsibilities** + Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on facility and production equipment as scheduled, following manufacturer recommendations and CMMS instructions. + Replace coolant, oils, and other fluids according to prescribed schedules, utilizing maintenance manuals and schematics. + Diagnose, repair, and replace worn parts, addressing mechanical and electrical breakdowns in a timely and effective manner. + Ensure adherence to all safety standards, policies, and procedures. Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment, proactively addressing potential safety risks. + Assist with the installation, setup, and qualification of new equipment to meet operational requirements. + Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance activities in the CMMS system. Provide detailed reports to the Facilities Manager, including parts or supplies needed for task completion. + Read, interpret, and utilize electrical schematics and mechanical drawings to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues. **Essential Skills** + Troubleshooting + Mechanical + Hydraulics + Pneumatics + Repair + Preventive maintenance + Industrial + Maintenance repair + Motors + Electrical troubleshooting + PLC troubleshooting + 3 phase + PLC control + Installation + Electrical maintenance **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School Diploma - Preferred + College or technical training in CNC Fundamentals, Electrical Maintenance, PLC Logic, or CNC Maintenance preferred. + Minimum of 5 years in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting within a manufacturing environment, with proven expertise in addressing mechanical and electrical issues on industrial manufacturing equipment. + Intermediate proficiency in time management, verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and a strong action-oriented mindset. + Experience in CMMS software and other relevant applications. **Why Work Here?** Join a new facility with a growing company that continues to acquire various companies in their sector. The facility is brand new and state-of-the-art. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $34.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
