**Job Title: Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician with strong communication and problem-solving skills to join our team. In this role, you will contribute by accomplishing tasks on time and with high quality, exhibiting teamwork with all departments and job levels. You will diagnose and resolve technical problems with industrial food production and packaging equipment, as well as plant facilities.
**Responsibilities**
+ Diagnose and resolve technical problems with industrial food production and packaging equipment and plant facilities, including pumps, motors, low pressure boiler, air compressors, conveyor, heat sealers, printers, labelers, blowers, warehouse dock doors, dehydrator, mill, blender, carts, and chillers.
+ Communicate appropriate information about equipment and repairs to operational personnel, supervisors, and managers.
+ Utilize advanced troubleshooting skills in electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
+ Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components or assemblies for products such as industrial equipment and machinery.
+ Perform calibration of instruments such as temperature gauges, thermocouples, pressure gauges, flowmeters, and scales, maintaining records according to the calibration plan.
+ Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
+ Close out work orders using a web-based Maintenance Management System.
+ Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
+ Communicate with equipment suppliers for technical support.
+ Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and other equipment.
+ Comply with safety regulations, food safety programs, and other standard operating procedures.
+ Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
+ Assist with special projects as required.
+ Overtime may be required.
**Essential Skills**
+ Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
+ Advanced troubleshooting skills in electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
+ Experience with a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and other equipment.
+ Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
+ Experience with web-based Maintenance Management Systems.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in a blended facilities and equipment maintenance role.
+ Ability to perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
+ Experience with calibration of instruments such as temperature gauges, thermocouples, pressure gauges, flowmeters, and scales.

**Work Environment**
You will be working in a food manufacturing company. This is a 2nd shift position with 4/10 shifts. The role requires compliance with safety regulations, food safety programs, and other standard operating procedures. The work environment includes the use of various hand and power tools, electric meters, and other equipment.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
