Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** Performs preventative maintenance, normal maintenance, and emergency and normal repairs on plant equipment including conveyors, slicing, labeling, and packaging equipment. Fabricates and installs various pieces of equipment and rebuilds equipment as necessary including machining and fabricating. Performs pipe fitting, plumbing, electrical, electronic installations and repairs with other mechanics. Ensures all tasks are performed in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring quality product is produced and continuous improvement. This position also has accountability for Q-RMP standards as outlined in the Claussen Woodstock Accountability document. **Responsibilities** + Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on plant equipment. + Fabricate and install equipment and rebuild as necessary, including machining and fabricating. + Conduct pipe fitting, plumbing, electrical, and electronic installations and repairs. + Ensure all tasks are performed safely and efficiently. + Maintain accountability for Q-RMP standards. **Essential Skills** + Troubleshooting + Maintenance technician experience + Mechanical skills + Hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge + Preventive maintenance + PLC troubleshooting + Welding (arc, tig, and mig) + Maintenance repair + Manual machining + Blueprint and schematic reading + Motor repair and wiring + Fabrication skills **Why Work Here?** Enjoy 10 paid company holidays and 3 paid sick days. Work in a Foods/GMP environment, requiring hair nets, hard hats, safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toe boots, and smocks. Some areas of the plant are refrigerated and temperature-controlled, with a slight smell of vinegar. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodstock, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
