**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the preventive maintenance and upkeep of all molding equipment and auxiliary department machinery. This includes ensuring the proper functioning of molding machines, grinders, thermolators, chillers, conveyor systems, and other equipment that supports the production process. You will also handle general building maintenance needs and collaborate with outside services when necessary. This role requires a proactive attitude, strong decision-making skills, and the ability to maintain the company’s business systems maintenance program. **Responsibilities** + Check in every morning with the plant manager to discuss the day's schedule. + Perform preventive maintenance and upkeep of all molding equipment and support machinery. + Maintain and update the company’s business systems maintenance program. + Fill out required paperwork such as work orders and charts, and perform computer entries related to preventive maintenance scheduling and inventories. + Make decisions regarding the repair and maintenance of production equipment. + Assist with part ordering, quoting, and managing vendor relationships. + Handle general building maintenance needs and coordinate with external services for plumbing, HVAC, and other needs. + Participate in and lead projects aimed at continuous improvement. + Other duties as assigned. **Why Work Here?** Our company offers a flexible first-shift schedule, allowing you to establish your working hours. The schedule will be established with the candidate, and once set, adherence to these hours is expected. The work environment includes casual dress code with safety glasses and work boots required. The facility is a plastics manufacturer, which may have an overbearing smell of melted plastic for some. However, it is not as loud as a typical machine shop. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $52000.00/yr. This is a 1st shift position with flexible hours-they will establish hours with the candidate but once the candidate sets those hours, that's what they expect them to stick to. The other Maintenance Tech is in from 7am-3pm. schedule could be 5am-1pm or 8am-4pm Dress code is casual with maintenance being able to wear works pants/jeans, polos/long sleeves/tshirts and with safety glasses and work boots. This is a plastics manufacturer so the smell can be overbearing for some people as it smells like melted plastic.
