Maintenance Technician

Job Overview:

 

The Building Engineer is responsible for performing daily checks throughout the building.   Tasks such as cleaning of the dog park, pool, exterior of building, interior common areas, checks and parking garage and trash compactor room.    Checks of all maintenance areas, checks for leaks, sounds and mechanical items needing to be addressed. 

 

 

Your Responsibilities:

Perform daily work orders

Be able to use the work order system and properly annotate status and jobs.

Interact with Residents and find sound resolutions for their concerns.

Perform general maintenance on common area equipment.   This can and will include light electrical, lighting, HVAC, plumbing and painting.

Perform general maintenance within Owner’s condominiums, but only those items which are stipulated in HOA guidelines. 

Keep work areas clean and organized.

Adheres to and complies with OSHA and company safety policies, rules, and wears personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary. Practice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards and respond to all calls by the end of the next business day. Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional, and ethical conduct. Reasonable and predictable attendance. Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedule. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplication. May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines. Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned

 

 

Skills & Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalency preferred. Ability to work with Team Members. Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required. Good work ethic and ability to pick up and learn new skills.

Compensation: $22 - $24 / hour
