**Job Title: Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with strong electro-mechanical proficiency to join our team. The successful candidate will work with specialized equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC), and ensure that machinery on factory assembly lines operates efficiently. This role involves routine maintenance, diagnosing and resolving equipment faults, and implementing maintenance strategies.
**Responsibilities**
+ Work with specialized equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC), which control machinery on factory assembly lines.
+ Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults.
+ Write maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines.
+ Diagnose breakdown problems.
+ Fit new parts and ensure equipment is working correctly.
+ Rapid problem-solving to handle emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs efficiently and timely.
+ Liaise with Production and Procurement departments as well as Maintenance colleagues.
+ Assist with specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings, or components.
+ Control maintenance tools, stores, and equipment, applying 5S practices.
+ Monitor, minimize, and control maintenance downtime and material costs.

+ Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills

+ Knowledge of pneumatics, mechanical, electrical systems, schematics, hand tools, blueprints, and repair techniques
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience with machining and metal fabrication (Production/Manufacturing setting is preferred)
+ Strong electro-mechanical experience

**Work Environment**
This position is in a manufacturing setting with swamp coolers. The team size during the shift is about 10 employees. The current need is for the overnight shift from Sunday to Thursday, with initial training on day shifts.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Torrance, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $31.00/hr.
