Maintenance Technician
**Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of tasks including HVAC maintenance, plumbing, minor carpentry, and electrical work. The ideal candidate will be experienced in general building maintenance, comfortable with building automation systems, and capable of managing daily routine tasks efficiently. **Responsibilities** + Change HVAC filters and clean coils. + Replace and assemble valves, repair sensors, and perform pipe replacements as needed. + Conduct minor carpentry work such as repairing floors, doors, and furniture. + Unclog and fix toilets, urinals, and sinks. + Manage time effectively to coordinate and supervise sub-contractors on-site. + Disassemble and reassemble fixtures, fans, pumps, HVAC equipment, and other building-related equipment. + Demonstrate general plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills. + Understand and operate building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and Life Safety Systems. + Operate a forklift, scissor lift, and aerial lift. + Use a personal computer, cell phone, and/or electronic tablet for reporting and communication. + Adapt to changing customer expectations and complete work requests efficiently with high-quality standards. + Support non-customary schedules and weekend work when necessary. **Essential Skills** + Experience in HVAC maintenance and electrical work. + General building maintenance skills. + Comfortable with general plumbing tasks. + Experience with preventive maintenance. + Ability to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts. + Proficiency with personal computers and electronic tablets. + Strong time management and organizational skills. + Excellent customer service and communication skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + CFC Universal certification. + Commercial experience with at least 5 years of in commercial building maintenance. + Basic computer skills for reporting and effective communication. + Ability to follow instructions and complete various maintenance tasks. **Why Work Here?** Join a team where you will work with high-profile government clients and experience career growth with raise increases throughout your tenure. The role requires a clean and professional appearance at all times with casual dress requirements. You will interact with office occupants frequently, so maintaining a positive attitude and providing excellent customer service is essential. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bethesda, Maryland. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
