Job Description
We are seeking a dual craft maintenance technician with at least 3 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be proficient in reading schematics and blueprints and have experience with hydraulics and pneumatics, conveyors, pumps, valves, air compressors, boilers, and other related equipment. Training on ammonia systems will be provided.
ResponsibilitiesAssembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.Troubleshooting machinery and performing routine preventative maintenance.Reading, interpreting, and following instructions and operation manuals.Demonstrating electrical competency for troubleshooting and familiarity with electrical principles and components.Welding and fabricating parts and equipment.Using an electrical meter for testing purposes.Maintaining a schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery.Knowledgeable in piping systems, pipe fittings, pumps and motors, valves, etc.Understanding gearboxes, motors, bearings, sprockets, chains, bushings, belts, and pulleys.Cleaning, repairing, and installing equipment and parts as needed.Operating sit-down forklifts and/or articulating boom lifts.Using a variety of hand and power tools.Maintaining a clean and organized work area.Complying with health and safety regulations.Performing general maintenance work on buildings as assigned.Maintaining strong working relationships with all plant departments.Writing routine reports and correspondence.Essential SkillsElectrical troubleshootingMechanical maintenanceHydraulics and pneumaticsRepair and preventive maintenanceSchematic and blueprint readingPump and valve repairConveyor maintenanceAir compressor and boiler maintenanceWelding3-phase electrical systemsPump repairAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with diaphragm pumpsIndustrial maintenance experience2 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or in a similar rolePreferred experience in a food manufacturing environmentWelding and/or fabrication experience preferredHigh school diploma or GEDTrade certification or vocational school graduateStrong computer skillsAbility to perform physical tasks and demonstrate physical dexterityAbility to troubleshoot and recommend solutionsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsKnowledge of health and safety regulationsAbility to safely lift 50 lbs. and/or push, pull, or move heavy machinery and/or drumsAbility to work up to a 12-hour shiftWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
This position is located in a climate-controlled food manufacturing plant. While candidates are not required to be clean-shaven, they will need to wear a hair/beard net.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $42.00/hr.
