**Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
Perform required maintenance throughout the facility to ensure efficient production operations. Develop a robust Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program on fixtures and general production equipment to ensure there are minimal negative impacts to productivity (scrap, downtime, etc.). Design, build, repair, and maintain electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment as necessary.
**Responsibilities**
+ Disassemble and reassemble machines and miscellaneous production equipment to complete necessary repairs and maintenance work.
+ Develop a robust preventative maintenance program for the facility and production equipment.
+ Evaluate machinery and facility equipment to determine equipment capability, efficiency, and to detect problems before they occur.
+ Proactively install, replace, or change machine components according to production specifications.
+ Perform necessary machining work using proper equipment for the job (CNC, lathes, drill press, etc.).
+ Assist other maintenance personnel with large and small scope projects when necessary.
+ Design, build, repair, and maintain fixturing used in various production departments.
+ Document the maintenance, repair, and replacement of production equipment.
+ Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.
+ Clean machines and machine parts using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment.
+ Measure, mix, prepare, and test chemical solutions used to clean or repair machinery and equipment.
+ Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production and office equipment and perform scheduled preventive maintenance of production equipment.
+ Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment including, but not limited to power supplies, drives, gauges, and test equipment.
+ Plan and perform work requiring thorough knowledge of electrical and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, electrical codes, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment.
+ Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and work orders.
+ Install, start up, and shut down equipment in accordance with safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
+ Inform appropriate management of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
+ Maintain company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.
+ Maintain the property of the company, internally and externally (cleanliness, snow removal, lawn care).
+ Communicate with co-workers, management, customers, vendors, and others in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner.
+ Conform to and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
+ Conform to all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment.
+ Assist with other duties as necessary to meet business needs.
**Essential Skills**

+ 3-phase electrical systems
+ Ability to design, build, repair, and maintain electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or GED
+ Associate's Degree (two-year college or trades/technical school) a plus
+ With a degree, no prior experience necessary for entry level
+ Without a degree, 5 years similar work experience
+ 10+ years experience for non-entry level
+ Powered industrial truck operation certified
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook
+ Familiar and comfortable with internet for research
**Work Environment**
Work is performed in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be exposed to varying degrees of temperature relative to the conditions occurring in nature outside of the plant and those controlled by internal heating and/or cooling systems. Temperatures are not extreme, but occasional work outside in nature's conditions may be required.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Zanesville, Ohio.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.

**Workplace Type**
This is a fully onsite position in Zanesville,OH.
