Maintenance Technician

**Job Title: Maintenance Technician Shift: 1st Pay: $25-$30/hr**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to maintain, repair, and rebuild production machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of tasks, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding, and fabrication work. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plant systems, including water systems, pneumatic systems, and conveyance systems. This role involves both preventive and reactive maintenance and requires working with various voltages and troubleshooting drives and motors.
**Responsibilities**
+ Maintain, repair, and rebuild production machinery and equipment.
+ Start machines and equipment to test performance, troubleshoot, and make adjustments to functional parts and control instruments.
+ Perform skilled tasks including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding, and fabrication.
+ Install, maintain, and repair plant systems, including water systems, pneumatic systems, and conveyance systems.
+ Perform indoor room additions and modifications, minor building repairs inside and out, and outdoor maintenance.
+ Maintain detailed records and prepare communications as needed.
+ Assume additional responsibilities and perform special projects as needed or directed.
+ Ensure conformance with all safety standards.
+ Perform 80% preventive maintenance and 20% reactive maintenance.
+ Handle minor electrical work involving 24V, 120V, and 240V systems.
+ Troubleshoot drives and motors, primarily three-phase.
**Essential Skills**
+ Troubleshooting and setup experience.
+ Preventive maintenance experience using a CMMS system.
+ Experience with rotary conveyors, small drives, and small motors (mostly 240V and 110V).
+ Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
+ Basic tool set (major tools will be supplied).
+ Comfortable with heights (18-foot vertical ladder) and confined spaces.
+ Ability to lift 50 lbs.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with HVAC and heater systems.
+ Welding and fabrication skills.
+ Knowledge of ammonia systems.
+ Experience with shafts, bearings, sprockets, chains, and drives.
+ Experience with mixers, extruders, and conveyor systems.

**Work Environment**
The work environment includes a variety of conveyor systems, mixers, and extruders. It can be warm around the ovens and cool by the freezers. The role typically requires working the first shift from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., with flexibility. You will work four 10-hour shifts, with around 5 hours of overtime on average, and more available if desired. The maintenance team consists of 8 people. Rarely will you need to enter the freezers, which are kept at -4 degrees.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.

**Workplace Type**
This is a fully onsite position in Cleveland,OH.
