**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical failures of CNC production machines in a timely manner. The role involves performing all building maintenance and repairs, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and more. The ideal candidate will diagnose, disassemble, and determine the extent of necessary repairs, as well as repair, refit, or replace parts. This position requires working with blueprints and manuals to perform required work, conducting scheduled preventative maintenance, and preparing and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and layouts. Additionally, the technician will install new machines and relocate existing machines while ensuring a safe working environment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical failures of CNC production machines.
+ Perform all building maintenance and repairs, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and more.
+ Diagnose, disassemble, and determine the extent of necessary repairs.
+ Repair, refit, or replace parts as needed.
+ Work with blueprints and manuals to perform required tasks.
+ Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance.
+ Prepare and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and layouts.
+ Install new machines and relocate existing machines.
+ Work in a safe manner and ensure that equipment is in safe working condition.
**Essential Skills**
+ 5-10 years of experience in electrical and mechanical repair of CNC machines.
+ Excellent knowledge of CNC machines and equipment.
+ Familiarity with Swiss and Tornos machines is a plus.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
+ Strong mathematical abilities.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Strong problem-solving skills.
+ Experience with forklifts, hand and power tools, and machine shop skills.
+ Ability to troubleshoot with limited guidance.
+ Diagnostic and parameter proficiency.
+ Experience with machine installation and relocation.
+ Previous welding experience.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cary, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $32.00/hr.
