Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** The Maintenance Technician repairs, adjusts, and maintains equipment daily. This position is Forklift Certified and directly impacts customer satisfaction and profitability. Due to the physical demands of this job, it is essential that correct lifting techniques, proper body mechanics, as well as applicable safe work practices be utilized. **Responsibilities** + Get work orders per assigned area, prioritizing work orders from the Maintenance Supervisor. + Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment. + Maintain and repair all production equipment. + Troubleshoot production equipment using PLC. + Edit programs to accommodate new procedures on existing equipment. + Edit programs to control the addition of conveyors or stacking machinery. + Change motors. + Read electrical schematics. + Install/repair plumbing. + Splice conveyor belts. + Rebuild gear boxes. + Perform pneumatic and hydraulic repairs. + Install/move machines. + Repair hot melt units. + Complete general electrical and mechanical repairs. + Complete building maintenance repairs. **Essential Skills** + Electrical troubleshooting + Mechanical troubleshooting + PLC troubleshooting + Preventive maintenance + Reading and understanding electrical schematics + Experience with electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School Diploma or equivalent + At least 7 years of relevant work experience + Working knowledge of department safety, quality, and operational procedures + Ability to evaluate design flaws and implement corrective actions + Knowledge in robotic/CNC systems with ability to support the electronic interface, mechanical installation, design/fabrication, repair, and maintenance of various brands of secondary automation devices for automated production equipment + Excellent communication skills (verbally and written) + Ability to develop operating and maintenance manuals for a variety of equipment + Ability to develop preventative maintenance requirements and schedules for equipment + Ability to read and understand components, machine design electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics, and blueprints + Basic math and engineering skills to support the design or modification of equipment or fixtures **Why Work Here?** Excellent benefits and opportunities for growth within the company. **Work Environment** Manufacturing warehouse environment with potential exposure to heat, cold, fumes, chemicals, allergens, and mold. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Riverside, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $36.00/hr.
