Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** Seeking a 3rd shift Maintenance Technician for a CNC & aluminum extrusion facility. You'll be responsible for all aspects of plant maintenance, including preventive maintenance (PMs), reactive maintenance, and any facility maintenance that arises. You will work on CNC machinery, extrusion machinery, brake presses, lasers, and some powder coating machines. PMs include basic greasing of bearings, tightening of bolts, and other similar tasks. You will fix all aspects of the extrusion machines, including 480v 3-phase motors, servos, AC/DC motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, small level conveyors, extruders, VFDs, and gearboxes. All machines operate on PLCs. A typical day involves participating in a passover meeting and performing reactive maintenance to ensure production runs smoothly. **Responsibilities** + Perform all aspects of plant maintenance, including preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance. + Work on CNC machinery, extrusion machinery, brake presses, lasers, and powder coating machines. + Conduct preventive maintenance such as greasing bearings and tightening bolts. + Repair and maintain extrusion machines, including 480v 3-phase motors, servos, AC/DC motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, small level conveyors, extruders, VFDs, and gearboxes. + Operate and troubleshoot PLCs. + Participate in passover meetings to ensure smooth transitions and maintenance schedules. + Ensure production is kept running by addressing any issues that arise. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical troubleshooting + Electrical troubleshooting + PLC troubleshooting + Experience with 3-phase 480v systems + CNC maintenance + Basic set of tools/toolbox + Ability to work with minimal supervision **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Previous extrusion maintenance experience + Experience installing new machines + Experience with project-type work + Welding/fabrication skills + Facilities maintenance experience **Why Work Here?** We offer comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, and a 401k plan. Initial training will be on the day shift before transitioning to the off shift. The work schedule options include Wed-Sun (with flexibility on Mon/Tues off), a 2-2-3 night shift from 6pm to 6am, or Fri/Sat/Sun 12-hour shifts. Major preventive maintenance programs occur twice a year, typically in July and December. The dress code requires jeans and steel-toe shoes. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Elkhart, Indiana. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
