Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Day Shift)** **Job Description** Perform preventative and reactive maintenance in an industrial manufacturing facility that produces metal and aluminum products. **Responsibilities** + Perform operations involved in the servicing and maintenance of machine tools, hand and power tools, and machine attachments. + Check, service, and clean compressors, hydraulics, plumbing fixtures, motors, relays and contacts, electrical and electronic panels and controls. + Service pneumatic hand tools, power tools, machine attachments, and replace parts and control modules. + Conduct basic facility maintenance tasks such as carpentry, plumbing, furniture assembly, and occasional equipment moving. + Disassemble equipment, select repair procedures, and repair or replace worn or defective parts using hand, power, and a variety of machine tools. + Perform welding and fabricating of various fixtures and guarding. + Service and maintain facility equipment including turret presses, stamping presses, press brakes, and other metal fabricating machinery. **Essential Skills** + Industrial maintenance experience in a production environment. + Experience with mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics systems. + Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and principles. + Experience in PLC, PLC programming, high voltage, and machine programming is preferred. + Good communication and problem-solving skills. + Awareness of health and safety legislation. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with PLC and robotic systems is a plus. + Ability to work quickly and under pressure. + At least one year of industrial maintenance experience or specialized training in a related field. + Ability in math. + Experience with MIG and TIG welding. + Physical ability to lift 25 lbs with or without accommodations. + Ability to perform maintenance tasks on ladders, scissor lifts, and platforms. **Why Work Here?** Eligible for insurance starting the 1st of the month after 30 days, including a choice of two health insurance plans, employer-paid dental insurance, life insurance, AD&D, and long-term disability plans, vision insurance, additional life insurance, accident insurance, and critical illness insurance. The Spokane site is new and will grow to over 60+ people, offering a great opportunity to get in early. The work environment involves working with various mechanical and electromechanical assembly processes, and the facility makes parts exclusively for a major customer. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Airway Heights, Washington. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $35.99/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
