**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** Perform all duties associated with the production of custom vitamin premixes. This includes receiving, unloading, storing, delivering, and shipping raw and finished materials. Work areas include mixing, packaging, blending, and packaging machines. **Responsibilities** + Handle raw materials and transport them from storage to the dispenser room. + Weigh raw materials as required per the batch formula and add them to the required mixer. + Print, inspect, and reconcile labels. + Fill silos and complete final packaging. + Sample per batch requirement and visually inspect both raw materials and finished goods for quality release. + Prepare samples for homogeneity and carryover samples. + Safely palletize and store raw materials and/or finished goods. **Essential Skills** + 2-5 years of maintenance experience preferred + Strong preventative maintenance experience + Experience using software for logging, tracking, and tracing + Troubleshooting skills + Mechanical and electrical service experience + Industrial maintenance experience **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Preferred skilled degree in maintenance + Experience with preventive maintenance **Why Work Here?** Opportunity for advancement into higher-level roles, a small team with a family-like culture, 401k, health, dental, vision, PTO, and holiday pay. **Work Environment** Custom-based dry premix facility that handles all species of animals. Physical production environment handling powders. Use of PPE and respirators required, including daily shaving of facial hair for proper fit and daily shower out. Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 5:30pm. Work in a team and individually to hit production goals each day. PPE provided: uniform, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, and bump cap. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ames, Iowa. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
