Maintenance Technician
Job Title: Maintenance Technician

ResponsibilitiesRemove, install, inspect, repair, or replace mechanical components on all types of production and facility equipment, including the most complex.Monitor, troubleshoot, diagnose, modify, and repair all types of production and facility electrical and electronic equipment without direct supervision.Design and install complicated circuitry in new equipment, working with the Engineering Department to completion.Inspect, test, repair, wire, and install all types of electrical apparatus and devices in the plant and on the grounds.Use applicable test equipment, hand, and power tools to accomplish assigned tasks.Perform cross-trade activities where necessary to satisfy work assignments.Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic blueprints and schematic diagrams, and create drawings showing any changes made to various systems.Read and apply the intent of the National Electric Code.Demonstrate strong knowledge of plant utility and production equipment layout and operating parameters.Know the location of critical electrical switches and disconnects.Observe all plant and departmental safety practices and procedures.Display proficiency in PLC control system troubleshooting.Be familiar with applicable OSHA standards and requirements.Follow housekeeping procedures to maintain a neat and orderly work area.Essential Skills2-5 years of industrial mechanical troubleshooting experience.Ability to perform mechanical maintenance and repairs.Ability to work with others on new equipment installation and wiring.Daily exposure to manufacturing environment involving fork truck activity and automated production machinery.Perform scheduled/planned maintenance activities on manufacturing equipment.Repair and improve mechanical components on assembly equipment.Assist with basic maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment.Ability to troubleshoot/repair pneumatics, hydraulics, motor/pump assemblies.Perform all tasks required under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.Respond to CMMS-generated work orders for preventative and reactive equipment repairs on automated production machinery and facility equipment.Additional Skills & QualificationsProficiency in using electrical test equipment such as volt meters, amp meters, and ohm meters.Experience with hydraulic conduit bender and other hand and power tools used in the trade.Experience operating fork lift trucks, boom lifts, and ladders.Work Environment

The majority of the work will be performed on the plant floor in a climate-controlled facility. The technician will work closely with both the maintenance team and engineering team, as well as plant operators. The working hours are from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM (2nd shift) Monday through Friday, with some weekends based on production needs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $60320.00/yr.
