**Job Title: Die Cutting Press Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking an experienced Die Cutting Press Operator responsible for setting up, adjusting, monitoring, and running die cutting presses, as well as overseeing the stripping of the die cut parts. The role includes detecting cutting defects and informing the manager of potential issues. You will be involved in creating products such as liquid packaging, rat traps, Native American Tobacco cartons, and food product cartons. **Responsibilities** + Achieve assigned goals in maintenance, safety, quality, performance, and cost. + Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical malfunctions to increase productivity and equipment capabilities. + Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine assembly methods and sequences. + Expedite the reentry of down equipment within a manufacturing environment to working condition. + Repair and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies. + Test the performance of electro-mechanical assemblies using test instruments such as multi-meters, volt, and amp meters. + Install electronic parts and hardware using soldering equipment and hand-tools. + Operate, test, program, and maintain complete manufacturing lines such as beverage filling machines, conveyors, and palletizers. + Source parts from vendors and order parts in a timely manner to ensure equipment reliability. + Maintain Maintenance Inventory System to ensure accurate inventories. + Communicate effectively between shifts and other departments regarding equipment status. + Comply with GMPs, SOPs, corporate and plant policies, rules, and regulations. + Follow OEM manuals and execute precise procedures according to those manuals. + Provide assistance and support to all areas in the production facility as assigned. + Gain competence on line circuits and ensure proper hookups are made in the facility. + Report food safety problems and initiate action, supporting SQF by maintaining food safety and quality. **Essential Skills** + Self-motivated with the ability to operate with minimal supervision. + Minimum 3-5 years' experience within a mechanical automation field. + Knowledgeable with various controllers such as Hurco, Centurion, Fanuc, Haas, and Mazatrol. + Experience in preventative and corrective maintenance, PLC programming, troubleshooting, and control. + Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics. + Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Minimum of GED or High School Diploma. + Technical trade, military training, or technical college strongly preferred. + Experience with VFDs, stretch or blow molding, conveyors, pumps, pneumatic sanitary valves, and hydraulic systems. + Experience with PLCs, instruments, and controls. + Experience with closed cooling systems including evaporator towers, water cooling towers, and chillers. + HVAC experience is a plus. **Why Work Here?** Our company offers a supportive and welcoming work environment where most of the team has been with us for over 7 years. We operate a close-knit team, where employees are provided with hair nets, beard nets, gloves, and hearing protection. The work hours are from 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday. Employees must be able to lift/push/move up to 75lbs and stand/walk/move for up to 8 hours. With minimal supervision on the 3rd shift, self-motivation is essential. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Liverpool, New York. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
