The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive care on machinery and equipment in an industrial environment. This role focuses on mechanical, electrical, and basic system repairs without the need for advanced PLC programming knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:Routine Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on industrial machinery, equipment, and systems to minimize downtime and prevent failures.Repairs: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system malfunctions and perform necessary repairs to restore equipment functionality.Troubleshooting: Identify and address equipment malfunctions and breakdowns quickly to ensure minimal production downtime.Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures, guidelines, and company protocols to maintain a safe working environment.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections performed on equipment.Parts Management: Ensure availability and proper stock levels of essential maintenance parts and materials, placing orders as needed.Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance team members, engineers, and production staff to resolve equipment issues.Equipment Setup: Assist in the setup and installation of new machines and equipment.Welding and Fabrication (if applicable): Perform basic welding or fabrication tasks for machine repairs or part replacements.Electrical Work: Troubleshoot basic electrical issues, including replacing wiring, switches, fuses, and components.Skills & Qualifications:Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of mechanical systems and their components.Electrical Knowledge: Ability to troubleshoot basic electrical circuits, motors, and controls.Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose complex equipment issues and determine the best course of action for repair.Tools and Equipment Proficiency: Skilled in using hand and power tools, diagnostic instruments, and mechanical devices.Attention to Detail: Ability to carefully follow procedures and guidelines to ensure the correct execution of tasks.Physical Stamina: Ability to work in physically demanding environments, often requiring lifting, climbing, and standing for long periods.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
