**Maintenance Technician**
**Pay $30-36 per hour**
**Job Description**
The maintenance technician will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing steel plate and steel coil manufacturing equipment. This includes working with plasma tables, overhead cranes, cutters, and slitters. The technician will also perform general maintenance tasks such as lubrication, monitoring, repairing, preventive maintenance, and inspections, and will inform the team if additional resources are required. Completing work orders and identifying potential equipment problems to initiate improvement projects is also a key part of this role. Communication with operators to ensure a smooth flow of operations and detect any problems or concerns with the equipment is essential.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform preventive maintenance on steel plate and steel coil manufacturing equipment.
+ Troubleshoot and repair equipment including plasma tables, overhead cranes, cutters, and slitters.
+ Conduct general maintenance on plant equipment such as lubrication, monitoring, repairing, preventive maintenance, and inspections.
+ Complete work orders and identify potential equipment problems to initiate improvement projects.
+ Communicate with operators to ensure a constant and smooth flow of operations and detect equipment problems or concerns.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1+ year of industrial maintenance experience
+ Strong mechanical skills
+ Electrical troubleshooting skills
+ PLC troubleshooting
+ Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
+ Welding experience
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 3+ years of preventive maintenance experience
+ Additional experience with PLC troubleshooting
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
