In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance in a refrigerated and Freezer facility with below-normal temperatures. Acts as a senior material handling technician on all equipment installed at the Mountville site location. Aids and mentors and coordinate work for lower-level employees and keep constant communication across all stakeholders.
The shift is 6:00AM - 6:00PM working on a 4-3-3-4 schedule. Overtime and possibly weekend work may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Repair and maintenance of MHE including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, component lubrication, etc.
* Completes preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
* Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry.
* Create and close work orders into asset management system with appropriate data to include labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
* Troubleshoot conveyance problems and understand resources needed to resolve them.
* Locate and track spare parts from inventory.
* Performs complex maintenance and equipment testing to ensure they meet specifications.
* Helps with training customers to operate equipment.
* Respond to service calls and correct equipment failures and faults.
* Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve them.
* Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organizations
* Guide a team through a range of repair tasks.
* Maintain and assist in developing a team of technicians performing preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as other areas, with direction from site leadership.
* Perform audits of equipment and work completed during the shift or the previous shift to ensure high-quality PMs or repairs are performed.
* Having the ability to handle technician issues and collaborate with site leadership to address shift performance issues.
Building and maintaining strong relationships and constant communication with all stakeholders, understanding their needs, and ensuring their satisfaction with the client solutions and services maintaining professional communication through email and in-person conversations with onsite customer leadership, client leadership, and technicians.
Qualifications:
* HS diploma or equivalent required.
* Associate degree or vocational technical training preferred.
* Specialized skill training/certification preferred. Demonstrates a senior-level knowledge of a technical or specialty area.
* Responsible for leading projects and teams and directing day-to-day operations and tasks to the onsite maintenance team.
* 5+ years of Electrical troubleshooting skills to include wiring, ac power, ac motors, electrical drawings/schematics, and control panels.
* May be required to tolerate a working environment with inside controlled temperatures of -15 -20 degrees Fahrenheit and outside ambient temperatures (including heat, cold, and precipitation).
* Mechanical experience with gearboxes, sprockets, chains, bearings, guide rollers, and other related equipment.
* Servo drives, PLC, PC controllers, dc power supplies, optical devices (i.e., encoders, photoeyes, etc.
* Knowledge of automated equipment; preferably automated material handling systems. Knowledge of conveyor systems
* Some experience with DeviceNet, PROFIBUS, Ethernet, or equivalent network communications is a plus.
* Must be able to evaluate and analyze, Semi-complex system/equipment performance data, perform root cause analysis, and recommend resolution of design-performance issues.
