Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and repairing defective parts. This role is crucial to maintaining production efficiency and safety standards.

ResponsibilitiesComplete preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.Follow diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications.Troubleshoot malfunctions and locate sources of problems by observing mechanical operations and using precision measuring and testing instruments.Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools.Examine the form and texture of parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.Inform production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitor compliance.Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.Maintain equipment, part, and supplies inventories by checking stock levels and placing orders as needed.Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.Provide mechanical maintenance information and prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Attend educational workshops, review technical publications, and establish personal networks to maintain technical knowledge.Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and continuing needs to maintain continuity among work teams.Comply with procedures, rules, and regulations to maintain a safe and clean working environment.Essential SkillsMechanical, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and Electrical troubleshootingPreventive maintenanceBlueprint reading480v troubleshooting and repairExperience with sensors, VFDs, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsAbility to understand and work with electrical schematics3+ years of manufacturing maintenance experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Education or equivalent3 years related experience and/or trainingExperience troubleshooting and repairing sensors, cookers (large ovens), steamers, and grindersWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

This position frequently requires standing, lifting, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, and more. Work conditions vary and flexibility is critical. You may be exposed to potentially dangerous machinery and equipment, as well as electrical, mechanical, and chemical hazards. The noise level is high and constant, and floors are damp and slick. You must be able to bend, stoop, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs., and stand for long periods of time. Temperatures in the processing departments range from 30 to 110 degrees.

This is a Permanent position based out of San Antonio, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
