Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be proficient in mechanics and electrical fields, working independently while also contributing to the development of other maintenance disciplines. You will understand and maintain typical industrial components that are arrayed into machines that accomplish specific tasks. **Responsibilities** + Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment. + Troubleshoot and repair line equipment. + Support the facility by effectively interfacing with the team and repairing other equipment as needed. + Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment. + Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs and maintenance. + Replace P.C. Boards and program VFD's. + Identify, repair, and replace broken machine components. + Diagnose malfunctions and analyze results using testing devices. + Perform preventative maintenance and inspect parts for signs of excessive wear or damage. + Repair, modify, and/or replace parts on all production and facility equipment. + Maintain, replace, and repair all pneumatic equipment. + Troubleshoot complex pneumatic system issues. + Repair and maintain air compressors and other plant utility systems. + Identify energy loss and correct issues. + Troubleshoot and solve team production problems. + Replace/repair hydraulic cylinders, valves, and pumps. + Maintain work and shop area and stock tools, parts, and supplies. + Keep accurate written records of work performed. + Perform preventative maintenance inspections. + Complete repairs and parts replacements. + Repair, install, adjust, or maintain machines or vehicles. + Participate in safety observations, safe work practices, LOTO, and job hazard analysis. + Adhere to good manufacturing practices and proper quality documentation. + Develop fundamental skills such as reading schematics and blueprints, mathematics, power tools, measurements, and hand tools. + Participate in preventive maintenance program for plant equipment, machinery, and related facilities; identify equipment maintenance needs. **Essential Skills** + Electrical troubleshooting + Maintenance technician experience + Repair skills + Industrial equipment knowledge + Ability to read schematics + PLC troubleshooting + 3-phase electrical systems + VFD programming + Control cabinet experience **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + PLC troubleshooting experience + Experience with VFDs + 480v electrical knowledge + Experience working within a control cabinet + Understanding of the theory of operation of electricity + Ability to explain electrical drawings and wiring schematics + Experience with servo drives and cams + Knowledge of HMIs and electrical measuring devices **Why Work Here?** Complete insurance package that includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. The facility operates on two shifts: 1st shift from 4:00am to 12:30pm and 2nd shift from 11:30am to 8:00pm. Candidates must be open to working either shift and one day during the weekend, either Saturday or Sunday, but not both. The team is small but growing, with lots of conveyors and distribution equipment in one part of the facility, and food manufacturing equipment in the other. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, Texas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $37.50/hr. **Workplace Type** This is a fully onsite position in Austin,TX. **Application Deadline** This position is anticipated to close on Mar 11, 2025. **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
