**Job Title: Maintenance Technician I**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician I with expertise in any of the trades such as HVAC, Electrical, Millwright, or Automobile. The ideal candidate is willing to work outside of their primary trade and adhere to our high standards of conduct and quality.
**Responsibilities**
+ Maintain the function of department assets to ensure reliable equipment and quality standards are met.
+ Assist in root cause investigation and reliability-centered maintenance analysis.
+ Train others on tasks.
+ Demonstrate proficiency in multiple skilled trade disciplines.
+ Perform all types of mechanical maintenance work on various equipment and systems, including production and facility equipment.
+ Troubleshoot, order, and install parts and materials on various equipment.
+ Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on plant equipment, including air handlers and utility distribution equipment.
+ Work on new equipment or retrofit existing equipment and accessories.
+ Perform light machining work on machine lathes and milling machines, if experienced.
+ Work as a multi-skill tradesperson doing electrical, pipefitting, building maintenance, and other special assignments as requested by management.
+ Support continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives within the maintenance organization and/or the site.
+ Understand and follow all safety and GMP regulations.
**Essential Skills**
+ High School diploma or equivalent.
+ 5 years of work experience related to mechanical trades, electrical up to 480v, HVAC/R, PLC/Controls, Instrumentation, or Millwright.
+ Proficiency in multiple skilled trade disciplines as defined by the department skills matrix.
+ Knowledge and ability to apply proper hand tools in an industrial setting.
+ Knowledge and ability to use basic power tools such as electric drills, drill press, saws, grinders, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools.
+ Ability to accurately use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and scales.
+ Basic computer skills, particularly with MS Windows.
+ Solid written and verbal communication skills.

**Work Environment**
This position operates Monday to Friday from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm. Work includes troubleshooting, ordering, and installing parts and materials on various equipment. Preventive and predictive maintenance work is conducted on plant equipment, including air handlers and utility distribution equipment. The role may involve work on new equipment or retrofitting existing equipment and accessories. Dress code and safety regulations must be followed at all times.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to hire position based out of Waukegan, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
