ITW Deltar Fasteners is a large division within the Automotive Segment and serves all the major OEMs and their tier suppliers with plastic fasteners. Locations include: Frankfort, IL; Chippewa Falls, WI and our Commercial Sales and Engineering in Troy, MI.

Maintaining advanced engineering and manufacturing facilities in NA.Exchanging product, process and benchmarking information with sister units worldwide.Continually improving processes, material and designs to ensure every product exceeds customer specifications while providing unparalleled value.The Maintenance Technician will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and will be responsible for performing duties to install, maintain, modify, and repair a wide variety of injection molding machines, assembly and automated equipment, as well as perform building maintenance as required.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work with blueprints, schematics, SOP’s and machine manualsTroubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a variety of molding and automated machinery using available technologyOrdering various components and ensuring accurate inventory of highly used spare parts.Operate drill press, grinder, welding, and other maintenance equipment to fabricate or repair partsAbility to troubleshoot/diagnose Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)Working knowledge of programming of PLC’s a plusPerform troubleshooting on mechanical and pneumatic powered, electronically controlled robotic systemsAbility to use precision measuring equipment and electrical testing instruments associated with a manufacturing settingPerform routine preventative maintenance functions per scheduleAbility to maintain computer-based machine repair and PM records systemAbility to lift 55 lbs.Comply with OSHA and all safety practices in repair and installationFollow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly conditionFollow a maintenance training program to expand areas of knowledgeOther tasks and duties as assignedPosition Skills and Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum two-year degree in Electromechanical Technology or equivalent work experience and trainingA team player that exhibits a positive attitudeComputer experienceAbility to keep accurate recordsProven communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work effectively in participative management environment as well as ability to work with little or no supervisionExperience with part discrepancy vision systems a plusCompensation Information:
$32-38 per hour
