Maintenance Technician
Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled mechanical/electrical technician to join our team. This position involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks, including diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on plant equipment. Technicians work as part of a team to safely perform preventive maintenance activities and respond to breakdown calls in a production environment. Training is provided to develop a wide range of skills, from hands-on mechanical to electrical support.

ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and troubleshoot machinery issues.Perform full teardown and rebuilds as needed.Work with live wiring and use meters for diagnostics (600V or less- 480V/120V/48V/24V).Maintain and repair various machinery including conveyor belt systems, Flexo (printing machines), dye cutters, fold/gluers machines, corrugators, boilers, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), and gearboxes.Utilize hand and power tools for maintenance tasks.Read and interpret basic layout diagrams, common symbols, and legends.Perform basic preventive maintenance such as lubricating machinery, visual inspections, and hydraulic PMs.Understand and follow lockout procedures for zero energy states.Use basic diagnostic tools such as voltmeters.Identify and distinguish between electrical and mechanical problems.Pursue ongoing technical training to enhance capabilities.Maintain a safe and clean work environment.Work any available shift and overtime as needed.Utilize basic computer skills for tasks such as email and time management.Essential Skills2+ years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.Electrical experience and willingness to perform both electrical and mechanical tasks.Ability to work any shift, including weekends and holidays as needed.Basic computer and typing skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsTechnical Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Trades is a plus.Experience in the corrugated packaging or printing industry is a plus.Ability to use electrical schematics for troubleshooting.Certified in ARC flash protection.Ability to fabricate machine guards and minor components from prints and drawings.Experience with basic machine shop tools such as lathes, milling machines, and hydraulic presses.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This position is based in a production manufacturing shop. Technicians must provide their own basic hand tools, though special and heavy tools are supplied. Safety shoes and safety glasses stipends are provided, along with uniforms. The work involves handling various machinery and using hand and power tools in a collaborative team setting.

This is a Permanent position based out of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $71115.20 - $79456.00/yr.

1.5 Pay over 8 hrs. and over 40
1.5 Pay Saturday and Sunday
1.5 Pay Holidays + additional OT over 8 hours on holidays
Uniforms Provided
PCA provides paid training to help technicians advance through the skill levels and achieve higher pay. ( Self driven development. They can do 2 hours a day of training to work towards next level. On avg 12-18 months they can move up a level.
