Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment and material handling equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with forklift repairs, troubleshooting and diagnosing conveyor issues, and the ability to read blueprints.
ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative maintenance on production equipment and material handling equipment.Repair forklifts and ensure they are in proper working condition.Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with conveyors and make necessary repairs.Read and interpret blueprints to aid in mechanical troubleshooting.Maintain equipment and perform mechanical maintenance as required.Essential SkillsExperience in equipment maintenance.Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues.Knowledge of mechanical maintenance and equipment maintenance.Proficiency in reading blueprints.Experience with forklift repair.Mechanical troubleshooting knowledge.Additional Skills & QualificationsElectrical experience is preferred.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in a warehouse environment that is not climate-controlled and can be dusty at times. The position operates on a 1st shift schedule from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, with extended hours from 7:00 am - 7:00 pm during discharges. The typical shift is Monday to Friday, with additional hours as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesapeake, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
